One of the first questions we hear from people considering a wrap is simple: “How much does it cost to wrap my vehicle?” The answer depends on the vehicle, how much you want covered, your design, the material, and the expertise involved in installation.
At Hale Print in Davenport, Iowa, we design, print, and install vehicle graphics in-house. Here's how we think about pricing—and how to get the most out of your investment in the Quad Cities.
How Much Does a Vehicle Wrap Cost?
These are Hale Print's approximate project ranges, not universal prices or guaranteed quotes.

$3,000–$5,000+Professional full-vehicle appearance changes; specialized finishes may cost more.Pricing note: The final quote can change with vehicle preparation, existing graphic removal, custom artwork and complex surfaces. Color-change wraps commonly start at $3,000 with the exemption of smaller vehicles.
Five Factors That Affect Vehicle Wrap Pricing
1. Vinyl quality and intended lifespan
Not all films are made for the same use. A short-term promotional graphic has different requirements than a long-term commercial wrap. We consider both the manufacturer and the specific grade of film.
2. Vehicle size, curves and coverage
Larger vehicles use more vinyl, while bumpers, recesses, contours and complicated body panels increase installation labor. A partial wrap often reduces the amount of material required.
3. Custom design time
We develop artwork to work with your vehicle's proportions and communicate clearly. Effective commercial designs prioritize readable branding, strong contrast and placement—not simply filling every panel.
4. Cleaning and graphic removal
Surface preparation matters. Dirt, residue and old decals may have to be removed before the new graphics can be properly installed. Extra preparation is reflected in a project quote.
5. Installation experience
Skilled installers understand film behavior, proper stretching and challenging areas where poor technique can cause lifting or premature failure. Craftsmanship is part of what you're paying for.
What brands do we use?
Our material options include professional products from 3M, Avery Dennison, ORACAL, Arlon and HEXIS. Film suitability and durability vary by product, not just brand name.
A Real Hale Print Project: Approximately $3,000 for a Full Truck Wrap
Custom-designed advertising truck wrap
A recent customer commissioned a full vehicle wrap on a personal truck used for advertising. The approximate total included custom design, professional printing and installation.
The example illustrates how a truck can become an attention-getting mobile advertisement. It is not a standard price for every truck.

Is a Vehicle Wrap Worth the Investment?
A commercial wrap keeps your branding in front of people while your truck or van travels through town, sits at a job site or is parked at your business. Unlike renting a billboard or paying for ongoing digital advertising placement, a wrap generally has an upfront production and installation cost without a recurring media-placement fee.
We believe a great design can make vehicle wraps an especially valuable advertising tool for contractors, service companies and local fleets. Actual return on investment varies with visibility, design, vehicle use and leads generated; a wrap is not a guarantee of sales.

Full Wrap or Partial Wrap?
For many businesses with multiple vehicles, partial vehicle wraps are our favorite approach. A strong partial design helps your fleet stand out among plain white work vehicles while reducing the cost of branding each one compared with covering every panel.
A full wrap may be the right choice for maximum coverage or a bold visual transformation. But the most cost-effective decision is often the least coverage that still delivers a memorable design.

What About Color-Change Wraps?
Professional color-change wraps start at $3,000 and can exceed $5,000 based on vehicle dimensions, film finish and installation complexity. They are designed to change your vehicle's look while leaving its original paint underneath.
A wrap is not a replacement for damaged paint, and ordinary color-change vinyl is not the same as dedicated paint protection film (PPF). On sound, properly prepared paint, correct installation and removal can help preserve the original finish; damaged or repainted surfaces may carry a risk of paint damage when vinyl is removed.

How Long Do Professional Vehicle Wraps Last?
Our typical expectation for many professional applications is approximately 3–5 years or longer, depending on the film, application and exposure. Some materials carry longer manufacturer-rated durability figures; those figures are not the same as a guaranteed lifespan for every installed vehicle.
Quad Cities vehicles face summer sun, winter weather, salt and everyday wear. Gentle handwashing, mild cleaning products and proper care can help a wrap keep looking its best. Avoid abrasive cleaning and aggressive pressure washing along graphic edges.
Why professional installation is worth it
A trained installer knows how to handle complex shapes and minimize excessive stress in the vinyl. We believe customers should compare workmanship, material quality and after-installation support—not just the lowest quote. Ask each shop what its warranty actually covers and whether the installer will be available if questions arise.
